We’ll go in the Haunted House this one time. But we’re not going to make a habit of this, right, Scoob?
Scoob! Box Office

Scoob! Plot Summary (Spoilers)
One of our most beloved cartoon series is back in another feature-length adventure with this 2020 release of Scoob. The Gang of Mystery Inc. has been an essential part of our pop culture for over 50 years, and it is still going strong.
The original series first aired on American TV in 1969 and continued non-stop, via several TV stations, until 1991. Even the Scooby-Doo movies have a long tradition, with 40 feature films having been made since the late 80s. There were five live-action movies released, as well, from 2002 until 2018.
This latest release will appeal to both young and old, with a special nod to all the older fans of Scooby-Doo and fans of all the classic Hanna Barbera cartoon characters.
The story of Scoob plays out a little differently from what you might expect from Mystery Inc. This film is a homage to this classic cartoon series while showing appreciation for some of the other classic cartoon characters of the ’70s and ’80s.

Fans of these bygone cartoons will love to watch this movie. To see Scooby-Doo and the gang going up against the arch-villain, Dick Dastardly, and his sidekick, Muttley is a big adventure.
They will also get help from Capt Caveman, Dynomutt, and the Blue Falcon. It’s a delightful experience.
Scoob! Plot Summary
Scoob begins with a young stray dog that gets into trouble and meets up by accident with a young boy with no friends. The dog is saved from being arrested by the quick thinking of the boy called Shaggy.
The puppy had no name, so Shaggy named him after one of his snacks and calls him Scooby Dooby Doo. They return to Shaggy’s home, where he gives his new best friend a collar with SD on it.
It’s Halloween, and they both go out trick-or-treating dressed as Shaggy’s favorite superheroes, Blue Falcon & Dynomutt. Outside the neighborhood’s haunted house, they bump into three other young people: Fred, Velma, and Daphne.
They have come to investigate the house and ask Shaggy and Scoob to join them. Inside they come across a spooky glowing ghost who chases them all around the house.
They bring the ghost down to earth and reveal he’s a thief called Mr. Rigby. After the police take him away, they realize how much they enjoyed the experience and decide to become a team to do this full-time.
Moving ahead ten years, Mystery Inc. wants to take its organization another step and become more significant. However, this will need funding.
They meet someone who wants to back them to do this financially, and it’s none other than Simon Cowell. He sees great potential in Fred, Velma, and Daphne but states that he can’t do it if Shaggy and Scooby remain with them.
Upset and disheartened by this news, they both leave the gang and visit a local bowling alley to cheer themselves up.
While playing, they are attacked by evil shape-shifting robots chasing them outside. But they get rescued and are levitated into the Falcon Fury ship.
Here they meet the Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and the pilot, Dee Dee Skies. The robots work for Dick Dastardly as he is desperate to capture Scooby-Doo to unlock some mysterious gate.
When Mystery Inc. arrives at the Bowling Alley, they discover they are too late but take one of the broken robots to find them. Later they discover that Shaggy and Scoob are with the Blue Falcon but are then captured by Dastardly while disguised as a cop.
Onboard the ship, they are able to escape after one of the robots befriends Daphne. They discover Dastardly’s devious plans about opening the gates to the underworld with the three skulls to steal treasure and release his sidekick, Muttley.
They can communicate with Dee Dee after hacking into Dynomutt and tell them what’s happened to them and that they are heading to Messick Mountain.
The Blue Falcon races to the mountain and gets there first. They dive inside the mountain and discover a hidden Mesozoic world. Shaggy feels jealous as Scooby-Doo gets closer to the superheroes, and when they leave the ship, he stays on board.
Fred arrives at the ship in the Mystery Van and lures Shaggy off the ship. They meet Captain Caveman, who tells them he is the guardian of the skull and needs to be beaten in combat if they want it.
Blue Falcon tries but fails until Dynomutt removes him instead. When Fred turns up, he reveals it’s Dastardly under a mask and takes the final skull he needs up to his ship. As he sets a course to Athens, the robots throw out Fred, Velma, and Daphne, and they discover that their ship has been destroyed.
Tempers begin to fray between the Blue Falcon and Fred, who start fighting while the others try to separate the two. Shaggy stops them all by saying it’s his fault that Scoob has been taken, and they need to work as a team to rescue him. His inspiring speech brings them all together as they work out how to follow Dastardly to Athens.
In Athens, Dastardly uses the power of the three skulls to reveal the Gates of the Underworld and uses Scooby’s paw to unlock the Gate. When they open, they unleash Cerberus, the three-headed dog, just as the Mystery Van arrives by air.
The robots shoot the van out of the air and seem to explode on impact, although Dynomutt can prevent them from crashing. Scooby is reunited with everyone and relieved to return with Shaggy, but Cerberus is on the rampage and must be stopped.
Dastardly enters the underworld and reunites with Muttley while they take as much gold as they can carry. With the help of the robots, they can trap Cerberus back in the underworld, but they need to lock the Gate.
Shaggy has to sacrifice himself so the Gate can be locked from the inside, and everyone is sad at his loss. But reading the legend closely, they realize there is another way out, and Scoob can free Shaggy.
The robots turn against Dastardly and help the others capture him. Velma unmasks him to reveal it’s Simon Cowell but realizes this is another mask and also takes that off. A double unmasking! Dastardly is underneath, so he had planned to break up Mystery Inc as part of his evil plot.
Back at Venice Beach, Mystery Inc. unveils its new headquarters and holds a party. Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and Dee Dee arrive and deliver an upgraded Mystery Van, which they quickly use to head off for a new adventure.
