Disney Plus Day (2023)

Disney plus day is in September 2023. This celebration is the second annual Disney plus day and has moved from November to September leading into D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. 

Disney+ day is a virtual event celebrating the releases and announcements of highly anticipated projects from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, and 20th Century Studios. 

Anticipation is running high as many announcements are expected for the streaming service, and the excitement continues leading into the D23 Expo. It is unclear how all the announcements will stack up and if Disney plus day will steal any thunder from the Expo. 

Disney Plus Day Releases

A few new streaming titles are expected to release on September 8:

  • Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory | All Episodes Available
  • Growing Up | All Episodes Available
  • Thor: Love and Thunder
  • Dancing with the Stars: The Pros’ Most Memorable Dances

  • Frozen Sing-Along
  • Frozen 2 Sing-Along
  • Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return
  • Remembering | Short film
  • Tierra Incógnita | All Episodes Available
  • Welcome to the Club | Simpsons Short Film
  • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law | Episode 4

Pinocchio is the live-action remake of the original Disney animated film, and likely follows the original storyline closely. The outstanding Tom Hanks plays Japeto. Pinocchio also features stars Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Luke Evans.

Cars on the Road is a new animated series based on the Pixar Cars franchise of films. Owen Wilson is back as Lightning McQueen as he and his best friend Mater travel from Radiator Springs east across the country on a road trip to attend Mater’s sister’s wedding.

Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory will premier on National Geographic as Gregory explores a pride of lions in Zambia, Africa.

Growing Up will also release on September 8, 2022. Growing Up features ten unique coming-of-age stories with all their ups, downs, victories, and discoveries as their lives develop before our eyes.
