Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow Plot

The second Barbie Fairytopia film begins in the Magic Meadow of Fairytopia, where life runs smoothly for Elina and her friends Dandelion and Bibble.

One morning Azura (one of the seven keepers) visits the beautiful Elina. The Enchantress wants each Keeper to choose an apprentice to learn the Spring Flight, and Azura chooses Elina to be her apprentice.

The Spring Flight is a ceremony every year and allows the enchanting Fairytopia to continue to bloom full of life. Elina is honored to be picked and heads off to the Cyrstal Palace to accept her apprenticeship.

On her journey, Elina and her sidekick Bibble meet another apprentice named Linden and a small animal with wings named Tumby, and they become friends.

On her arrival, Elina makes the acquaintance of the other apprentices: Lumina, Shimmer, Sunburst, Fabian, and Glee.

Elina makes a quick friendship with Glee, who introduces Dizzle, her mushroom puffball, to Bibble. Bibble and Dizzle hit it off, and Bibble begins to fall in love with Dizzle.

Before the lessons begin, Azura, together with the other Keepers, teach the apprentices the three different steps to complete the famous Spring Flight and make the First Blossom bloom!

Unfortunately, however, if any problems arise, this bud will be destined to wither, and the much loved Fairytopia will have to go through ten very long years of cold winter.

Elina shows her abilities in the training phase, and Azura teaches her a spell (used to cancel spells that she and Sunburst have cast due to a fight).

Later, while she is walking with Linden, she accidentally returns Laverna with magic to her natural form! (the evil sister of the Enchantress, thanks to a transformation into a frog, had managed to escape from exile).

Sunburst is taken hostage by Laverna, who assumes her form and poisons all seven Keepers by intoxicating them. The Enchantress thus decides that the apprentices will have to do the Spring Flight from the beginning of the exercise.

Elina is targeted by Laverna, who begins to be kind to her in the form of Sunburst until he reveals her appearance only during the party.

At this point, Elina leaves the ceremony with the aim of finding the real Sunburst. Elina plans to join her and return with her to the Palace, revealing her trap.

Laverna decides to force her sister, the Enchantress, to renounce her throne in her favor, telling her that otherwise, she would destroy the First Blossom, so the sovereign is forced to go along with her sister’s evil plans.

Soon after, Laverna breaks her promise, and Elina tries to protect her bud. A spell is cast at her, which hits her.

All the apprentices help her, and she finally manages to fight back and defeat Laverna once and for all, getting another beautiful pair of wings!

The Enchantress is finally safe, but unfortunately, the bud has withered in the meantime and begins to unleash the harsh winter.

When the situation seemed lost, however, with Elina’s courage and fortitude, the apprentices healed him and managed to stop the snow, giving birth to the spring rainbow. Finally, Elina happily returns home with Bibble.
